How to Get an NBI (NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION) Clearance

Note:

  • The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney PROVIDES THE NBI FORM ONLY, assists with fingerprinting and a consular official signs the NBI Fingerprint Form 5

  • The CONSULATE DOES NOT PROCESS OR ISSUE THE CLEARANCE.

The procedure below is for the above service and not for the actual NBI Clearance.

Please read the procedure first prior to booking an appointment

Applicants for NBI Clearance who are living in Australia (Filipino or foreign nationals) may secure the NBI Clearance Application (NBI Fingerprint Card Form No. 5) and have their fingerprint impressions taken at the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney by appointment.

No ability to go to the Consulate to get the NBI fingerprint Form 5 because you are far away?

Note:

  • The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney assists individuals applying for NBI Clearance by facilitating the fingerprinting on the NBI Fingerprint Form No. 5 and having it signed by a consular officer.

  • The Consulate does NOT process or issue the NBI Clearance itself.

  • All clearance applications coming from abroad are processed only at the NBI Office in Ermita, Manila.

  • If there are changes to the details of the NBI Clearance such as civil status, name, date of birth, the NEW APPLICATION applies.

  • If the applicant’s address in Australia has changed and needs to be updated, a letter indicating the new residential address must be included in the requirements.
