• The procedure below is for the above service and not for the actual  Renewal of NBI clearance. THIS SERVICE IS BY APPOINTMENT.

RENEWAL APPLICATION

If this is from 2017 onwards, you are considered for RENEWAL, follow the following:
Find an acquaintance (relative or friend) in the Philippines who can process the NBI Clearance on your behalf.
 

1. Send the original NBI Clearance along with:

   • A photocopy of the data page of your VALID Philippine passport

   • 2 pcs. 2x2 picture (white background and taken within the last 3 months)

   • Authorization letter (handwritten or computerized) Please mention "to file and collect" in the authorization letter. This means that the person you instructed to file will also be the one to collect your Clearance from the NBI on the day of release.

   • A letter indicating your new residential address (if you changed your address)

2. This has a fee of 200PHP.

3. Then he/she can send it back directly to your address here in Australia.
    

If you do NOT have anyone in the Philippines to process your NBI Clearance, it can be sent directly to the NBI agency in Manila, follow these steps:
 

1. You will send this to: 
   National Bureau of Investigation
   Mailed Clearance Section, 3rd Floor,
   NBI Clearance Building
   UN Avenue, Ermita, ManilaPhilippine 1000

2. ​Included are the following
   - Original NBI Clearance (for renewal) or the NBI fingerprint form 5
   - Photocopy of the data page of your Philippine passport
   - 200 PHP or its equivalent in US dollars
   - 2 pcs.2x2 picture (white background and taken within 3 months)

3. This will take five (5 days) excluding the day of dispatch.

4. After the NBI receives and processes your application, they will send it back to you at your address here in Australia.

5. The NBI Clearance can be double-checked once it has been received. It should have a dry seal or embossed NBI logo

6. You need to put your fingerprint (thumb) on it before passing it to the office or agency you are submitting it to.

 

 

 

 

Why is 200php being sent to the NBI?
NBI Clearance processing fee – 130 PHP
Mailing cost – 70 PHP

How long will it take to get the NBI?
Five days at the NBI, not including the travel time (this is if there are no issues at the NBI)

What if there are changes to the details of the NBI Clearance such as status, name, date of birth, etc.?
Just follow the NEW APPLICATION process above (1-7)

If you changed your address here in AU and you want to update it.

Follow the 3 steps for Renewal Application and attach a letter indicating your new residential address (if you changed your address)
