FOREIGN NATIONALS WHO WILL ENTER THE PHILIPPINES WITH A VISA

The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney is currently accepting applications through postal mail for those whose travel is urgent. Please note that the Consulate does not accept walk-in applicants.

Checklist of Visa Requirements to be sent through Postal Mail for Tourist/Business Visa of Non-Australians or Visa-Required Nationals not listed under Executive Order No. 408: 

 

1. Signed visa application form certified by Justice of the Peace with photo attached.

2. Original Passport and one (1) colored passport data page copy.

The original passport must be valid for six months beyond the exit date.

3. Temporary booking/itinerary.

Photocopy of return flight tickets/itinerary showing applicant’s name. Not necessarily a confirmed flight.

4. Non-Refundable Visa Fee. To be paid a POSTAL MONEY ORDER amounting to $72 for Non-Australian passport holders or visa-required nationals / $54 for Australian passport holders, for a single entry, payable to the “Philippine Consulate General in Sydney”.

Correct amount, no change.

5. Supporting documents. The Consular officer may require additional documents to confirm certain circumstances relating to the applicant’s stay in the Philippines and/or depending on the purpose of the visit, such as:

1. Proof of financial capability (Bank Statements or  payslips, Certificate of   Employment / Certificate of Business Registration)

2. Australian Grant Visa (VEVO) 

3. Hotel Booking 

4. Invitation Letter (if applicable)

5. Others (as may be requested by the Visa Section of the Philippine Consulate General)
    

6. Self-addressed prepaid express AusPost satchel (plastic envelope) with signature required upon delivery, to be used in mailing out your passport.(view sample envelope)

 

NOTE: The consulate assumes no responsibility for any loss/damage in the mail while the passports/documents are in custody of the post office, as well as delay in the delivery.  Concerned applicants are advised to check the progress of the shipment using the tracking number indicated on their express post mailing envelope.

Citizens of Australia and other countries listed under Executive Order No. 408 are eligible for a visa-free stay in the Philippines for Thirty (30) days. Those wishing to stay longer may:

 

1. Secure a visa extension with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration before the end of their initial allowed stay and pay the required fees.

2. Apply for a visa at the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney for a maximum length of stay of 59 days within one to two months prior to      departure. Please refer to the above checklist of requirements or send an email to inquire at sydneypcg.visa@dfa.gov.ph.

PROCESSING TIME:

Visa processing time is approximately 3-4 weeks on an average.

 

Please note that multiple-entry visa applications usually take a longer period of approval time (approximately 8-12 weeks).

  

REMINDERS:

• Applicants must comply with ALL the requirements.

• Additional documents may be required after evaluation of documents submitted.

• Unruly or rude behavior may result in a visa denial.

• Visa is a privilege, not a right. Visa issuance does not guarantee entry to the Philippines.

• We strongly advise visa applicants to finalize their flight booking only after the visa is granted. The Consulate will NOT hasten the visa processing to accommodate the applicant’s flight schedule.

9(e) visas For Diplomats and members of International Organizations, and their dependents accredited to the Philippines

9(c)Visa for Seamen and Crew Members

• Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines;

• Valid Seaman’s Book or Certificate of Competence;

• Duly accomplished Visa application form

• Passport Photo (white background) taken within 6 months on the date of application;

• Sponsorship letter from the shipping company or authorized agent; and

  ​For Crew list (traveling to the Philippines on board the vessel)

• Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines;

• Valid Seaman’s Book or Certificate of Competence;

• Duly Accomplished Crew list application form (FA Form No. 60)

• Letter from the shipping company or authorized agent; and

For an Individual joining a vessel in the Philippines (crew change)​

9(g) Visa

Foreign nationals who intend to come to the Philippines to engage in a long-term employment (more than six (6) months with the Philippine-based employer) must lodge the application before the Bureau of Immigration (BI). The BI will then convey approved applications to the DFA, and will transmit the visa approval to the Philippine Foreign Service Posts concerned for the issuance of 9(g) visa.

All inbound passengers are required to register through https://etravel.gov.ph/ at least 72 hrs before the intended arrival date. Registration is free.
